when writing them you have to assume they're people! Motive! MOTIVE! Aristocrat = evil (or) stupid so all I have to mention is "they have a title" is sloppy writing!

gotcha. lazy writer shorthand defining behavior based on a title, even if said behavior probably isn't archetypical.
