NO POSTING FOR A FEW DAYS, I GUESS  
I just found out about this whole Facebook/Twitter thing. No. Simply put, I have a career that is already difficult enough to manage without taking that sort of chance. I know that I am not exactly the most popular girl on the block, but I support my parents and I won't put them at risk. I have never made it very difficult for people to find out who I am, trusting that people here understand the need for the light cover provided by the username. But Facebook and Twitter -- the privacy issues are staggering.

So I'm setting up a Dreamwidth account and if LJ doesn't fix this mess -- see you over there.

Hi hon - same here. I'm set up and the migration was relatively easy. There is in even an option that will let you automatically cross post and disable the LJ comments :-)
