I did actually cry, which is a bit embarrassing. Three things immediately happened:

1. I have to save up and get to the Altacama Desert.
2. A Torchwood story where Jack, Ianto and Tosh have to go there for some reason.
3. An AU where Ianto and Jack are astronomers.

Drat you, woman!

My God that is beautiful! We barely see any of the stars in the night sky with urban development lights. This was breath taking.

That's all I needed! I'll be in Chile to visit the family in December. I promised the kids a trip to the "Valle de la luna" and now we will have to visit the VLT on our way there. Thank you for reminding me how awesome that is!
