Spheres at Night

This is how the lily pond looked at night. Sorry about the quality; I was told I couldn't bring in a tripod, so I'm handholding the camera!

You always post such lovely photos. Thinking of installing a water pond in the spring. Of course, I say that now before I get the six inches of rain due tonight. On top of the underground stream in my back yard.

I would love a pond, but my mother is terrified a frogs and in Florida... So I visit Fairchild a lot and photograph all of theirs.
Six inches? Where are you, in the Carolinas? We're expecting at least some of Ike this coming week.

I'm in what is about to become a very soggy part of New England. The bulk of it was supposed to hit the South Shore and Cape but now they're saying 4-6" or more of rain in the course of a few hours where I am. Oh, well, nothing I can do about it so tonight I will go on horse patrol with a few friends and keep an eye on the barns.

I love water features and have been toying with putting up a water wall as well. Used to grow tub lotuses in oil drums in the city as a kid, lol - started on the egyptological obsession early.

Yes, I just saw the weather report. Ouch. At least it's moving fast -- nothing more dreary than when one of those suckers just sits and makes your life miserable for a few days...

Ohhh, now they really do look like planets, floating in the inky blackness of outer space.

My reaction exactly. I'm telling you, if Chihuly comes near you -- he does installations all over the world -- GO SEE IT. Spectacular!
