All Right, You Twerps in the Media...

President Obama gave the Queen of the United Kingdom, etc., etc., (title goes on for about 16 lines) an Ipod with some photos and videos of her visit to the United States. Why? BECAUSE YOU UTTER MORONS, it's a symbolic gift. It's the kind of thing one head of state gives another. SHE gave HIM an autographed photograph of herself and her husband.

It's not a personal gift; that would be one step away from vulgar. And it's not as if you could give her something she couldn't get for herself. Sh'e one of the wealthiest women in the world EVEN AFTER separating the "state" stuff from the "personal" stuff.

These things are meaningless in the largest sense, and you know it, so stop being such twerps about it.

Excactly!

I personally think that Obama and his people made the perfect choice for his 'gift' to the Queen. He is the first American President to embrace technology and the iPod is the most ubiquitous symbol of that around.

I'm sure HRH understood the symbol far better than any of the idiots on Fox News and such.

When I first moved to the States, I remember being horrified when Ronald Regan presented her with jelly beans and a video cassette of one of his Westerns!

It turns out the possibility was discussed beforehand and she wanted something like that -- it's preprogrammed with show tunes and videos of her last trip to the US.

Well bloody said.

BBC Breakfast were making such a big deal about how poor in quality the PM's gifts were to the First Family compaired to their's. It was almost enough to put me off my coffee.

They should be putting more attention on how the secret service totally fooled the press. It was HILARIOUS

Everyone seems to be fixated on these stupid things on either side of the ocean. For crying outloud, the whole effin' world is going up in flames and we're worried about a freaking iPod?

Bravo. Fox needs to stick to what they do well - cartoons and sports.
