Photography: Iris Clump

Iris Clump, originally uploaded by emmacuesta.

The Irises I planted four years ago are finally blooming. In fact, most of my backyard is blooming. I'm working on a photo project called "My Backyard" to photograph all the things that grow and fruit in our garden.

This is a tiny iris from South America, and is tiger striped at the center.

Oh gorgeous work.

I *need* to go out and take some pictures of my crabapple and the lilac that finally decided to bloom.

It becomes an obsession. I stalk through my garden every weekend, camera at the ready, instead of pulling weeds!

LOL that happens with me also and at parties also.

This is at my aunt's Party after she became Jewish and around the city she lives in.

Atleast my Canon performs well doing it.

I love that first one! And the orchids. My mother grows them and I'm always taking pictures. I use a Nikon, but also a couple of good point and shoots.

I'm so glad I'm not the only camera hog in the Universe!I have two film Nikons, the digital, plus a full set of one of the oldest SLRs of them all, the Minolta SRT 101, which I still use from time to time, believe it or not. Three bodies, four lenses and filters.

Nope, you are not.

The 35mm is not exactly mine but I usually the only one who uses it. I use mostly to shoot B&W which is hard to find a place to develop it.

Older film cameras are always fun to play with. I have an older digital that I sworn that I wouldn't use again. The casing is flimsy and the shots were not that great with it.

Than I got my 1st Canon digital and it has been love ever since.
Forgot to add that one to the list so 5 Canons.

I did too, but I learned bit by bit. It's almost like maths in some ways.

Do you have a pic of your whole garden?
[identity profile] merucha.livejournal.com on May 5th, 2009 09:38 pm (UTC)
Not at the moment. It's pretty much demolished as I bring new plants in. I stopped for a while and it all went to heck. It resembles a jungle, but I'm fighting the good fight!
