Progress report, so to speak

If you're wondering if I'm still alive, the answer is yes. If you're wondering if I'm still sane.... let us take that into consideration later.

It has been a bad beginning to the year, tied to the miserable end of the last one. When that happens, I start to make my life smaller and smaller until I find a size I can cope with. I question everything, including my own beginning and end. It's painful and I try not to inflict it on anyone. Truth is, if

bethmccombs hadn't been around (hey, Beth), I probably would have stopped writing.

But I think I'm at the end of the tunnel and it was actually sunlight, not the headlamps of an incoming train, so... I'll be posting soon. And after I finish Angel of Death, I'm going back home to the Tardis!Ianto verse. Ianto's namesake and godson wants his story told.

Hey, back... and yeah... I gotta get my fix on stories from you. Don't forget the Magicians series, I'm impatiently waiting for more of it.

*hugs* Since the train ran me down today... only explanation for the suddenly swollen knee I can think of... it should be sunlight at the end of the tunnel now. *smile*

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I'm a bit happier at the moment as one of the big stresses in my life just got relieved - at least temporarily. But I'll certainly take you up on it if things go bad again.

Hi, I know how you feel. I find excessive stress stifles any attempt at creativity. It's funny though because your stories actually help me with stress, especially the Queen's Magicians because it feels like this amazing world to escape into. I really hope you carry on with that one. So, yes I guess I've always imagined writing those worlds would help if real life is getting you down, but clearly it's just as stifling as I find it, because I tend to go into an inertia.

Anyhow I hope you feel better soon and can come back to your writing. Also glad to hear it was sunlight, I've had the train experience myself, so I know that one!

Writing does help but then I hit a wall that takes my breath away and then it all comes crashing down. Now I'm on the way up and everything seems much easier.

Ooh, good, I had been re-reading your AUs (and rec-ing them too), and wondering when the new chapters would come, and getting a bit worried.

Is there anything we can do for you? Do you need/want something (no, sorry, I have no Tardis to give to you :-/)

Alas, no... that would be nice, though. And as for reading your work, that certainly is not a problem, as I am hooked to the RSS feed to be sure not to miss your posts :P

One thing, though, well, one question: is Angel of Death going to be a series, too, or is it going to stay as is, one standalone story? I have no preference about that, just curious.

I am definitely in love with your AUs, anyhow ;-)

I was getting a little worried so it's good to know you're still alive and kicking and looking after yourself as best you can.

If you change your mind and you do want to rant/share/whatever, you know where I am!

As for the writing - I'll always be pleased to see anything you write, but I'd rather have you in one piece so don't write because you feel you have to!

Now -- at the other side of the bump, so to speak -- writing becomes a pleasure and a hiding place again. Unless something throws another major curve at me again soon, it should be ok.
